I am a ceramic artist based in Willington, Derbyshire.
My work is concentrated on functional forms and I take inspiration from the colours and forms in the natural world . I want my pieces to be functional, but also be aesthetically pleasing. I use a variety of handbuilding techniques including pinching, coiling and moulding and use glazes and different coloured clays to compliment these forms.

I really enjoy the time spent in my workshop, making unique pieces, I find it relaxing, therapeutic, creative and rewarding. I love the medium of clay, its many techniques and how it can be transformed into many different forms, be that either functional or sculptural.

I really love what I do, there are still so many techniques to discover and try and I am still constantly learning, developing my skills and knowledge.
