As you leave the Barbican Underground station in London you are greeted by this building immediately in front of you above the intersection, seemingly placed on top of a pedestrian bridge! In context of the location it is a stark indifferent monolith surrounded by clean streets and busy traffic. With a single plant on the entire visible balcony it is a reminder of functional living, gently mocked by the vibrant plantation on the balconies of the smaller buildings either side.
Lauderdale 005 is part of a series of five images. Lauderdale 005 is the most complete and least abstract of the series.
Due to the nature of the print and paper choice the inking can prove brittle if touched unnecessarily. We strongly advise that you go for the framed option, unless you have sourced a frame yourself.
